Resistant Dextrin

Corn resistant dextrin is a type of soluble Dietary Fiber derived from corn starch by enzymatic hydrolysis and purification. It is also known as Resistant Maltodextrin, resistant starch, resistant dextrin, corn-derived Soluble Fiber or corn-derived dextrin fiber. It has a white and odorless powder appearance and can be used as a Functional Food Ingredient with various health benefits.


Feature:

Corn resistant dextrin has a unique structure that contains both digestible α-1,4 and α-1,6 starch linkages and indigestible α-1,2, β-1,2 and β-1,3 fiber linkages. It is highly soluble in water but resistant to digestion by human enzymes. Therefore, it can act as a prebiotic that feeds the beneficial bacteria in the intestine and produces short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), vitamins and other health-promoting substances.
