PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) are considered as functional oligosaccharides and have great prebiotic potential. It is mainly composed of 2-7 xylose molecules linked by β-1,4 glycosidic bonds,are naturally found in bamboo shoots, grain shells, cottonseed shells and corncobs.It can selectively promote the proliferation activity of intestinal bifidobacteria, and its bifidogenic factor function is 10-20 times that of other oligosaccharides.

Xylo-oligosaccharides not only exhibit some specific physicochemical properties such as excellent water solubility and high temperature resistance, but also have a variety of functional biological activities including anti-inflammation, antioxidative, antitumor, antimicrobial properties and so on. Xylooligosaccharides act as a prebiotic, selectively feeding beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli within the digestive tract. A large number of clinical trials have been conducted with XOS, demonstrating a variety of health benefits, including improvements in blood sugars and lipids, digestive health benefits, laxation, and beneficial changes to immune markers. These health benefits have typically been observed at 1–4 g/day, a lower dose than required for Prebiotics such as fructooligosaccharides and Inulin.
